Emotional Intelligence...It’s the difference between emotions just happening to you, reflexively acting without thought, and you deliberately choosing how you want to respond, and the best next step to take to serve your clients.

Here are the 3 practices to increase your emotional intelligence as well as increasing your intuition:

  1. Practice paying attention to people - everyone. note their hair or eye color, and name (in your head) the emotion they seem to be feeling.
  2. Practice recognizing your own emotions as they come up during the day. Note the emotion and how your body feels. if you get a chance, check your reflection in the mirror.
  3. Journal out your emotions. write about what you are feeling and why you think that is. What does the feeling physically feel like in your body. what thoughts go through your head when having those emotions.

Noting and attending to emotions does help you to accurately read other’s emotions if you practice this like you would strengthening a physical muscle
